Mira Scholten wins 2012 Europe Award for article in REALaw

Mira Scholten has won the 2012 Europe Award of the Montesquieu Institute for the best scientific article written by a junior academic. She received the award for her article that was published in the Review of European Administrative Law (2011-1) ‘Independent, hence unaccountable? The need for a broader debate on accountability of the executive’.
Mira Scholten is a PhD candidate at the Maastricht University, Faculty of Law and also is affiliated with the Montesquieu Institute. The topic of her research is the relationship between parliaments and independent agencies. Her promoters are Prof. L.F.M. Verhey and Dr. Ph. Kiiver.
